Oh celestia how I tricked you into thinking that I was an innocent little filly but in truth I was using you to get the power that I wanted. By sending me to ponyville that day you only delayed the inevitable and by the time you put the pieces together it was too late I have put my plan into motion and as soon as I kill everypony that I know will stop me you will die by my hoofs (smiles evilly)
Twilight sure will do everything to gain Celestia praise, sadly as side effect nothing in the world will hurt her as much as Celestia disappointment ( when Celestia said: " you have a lot to think about " in wedding episode and when she kicked Twilight out as student in one of Twilight worst fears when Sombra spell got her, I bet it hurt far more then Nightmare Moon and Discord thrown at her ).
And I'm sure that Celestia is already happy with Twilight even at times when Twilight is unsure and stressed. Although what Celestia said to Twilight when no believed her about Fake Cadence was the equivalent of a mother disappointed with her child, Celestia must have felt emotionally hurt as Twilight when she found out that Twilight was right and Queen Chrysalis was just playing with her feelings.
Yes, but in the end Celestia did not even got a epic fight to redeem herself ( 15 second laser beam battle should always be the end of battle, not battle itself ), and Celestia not even apologise to Twilight after the whole fiasco ( Applejack was the only one who apologised, and that is sad ).
Celestia is a bit manipulative and secretive, she hide her feelings to her student until season 3 finale ( better late then never ), hopefully Celestia will not need to be manipulative any longer and actually start to do something to help ( she was tricky teacher far to long, it is about time she and Luna become party members ).
Dude, just seeing Celestia confront Chrysalis made my heart thump so much. When she fired her beam, I was emotionally thrilled! I was so happy during the entire sequence but then when Celestia was overpowered, I was in shock. It seemed Shining Armor's love was that big of a deal. Stealing love as an energy source to power somepony up? That's deadly. I was a bit upset about that too. Now its presumable that everypony did apologize to Twilight while putting together the redone wedding. I could see it like this: Celestia talking to Twilight about how an intruder could ever get past her sight, let alone play with her emotions towards a friend. She then asks Twilight if she hurt her feelings. Twilight responds "Why would I hold a grudge against my mentor, specially if you were tricked?" Celestia than praises Twilight for being strong enough to endure emotional attacks even when they were false. (Though her emotional strength couldn't stand a chance against Sombra's cursed door.)
Manipulative? How so? Seeing Celestia contribute to a problem would make me so happy. (Like in an RPG? Yes, Celestia and Luna definitely deserve that coveted limelight that the Cutie Mark Crusaders have been taking advantage of.)
